PORT EDWARDS – A reception will be held Jan. 11, 5-8 p.m., at the Alexander House in Port Edwards for a joint exhibition featuring ceramics by Chris Leung, Kewaskum, and oil paintings by Brian Schuetz, Wisconsin Dells.

Leung fell in love with making pottery in California.  Since setting up his own studio near the Kettle Moraine State Forest in southeast Wisconsin, he has enjoyed developing shapes/patterns from early memories of living in Asia, as well as from the everyday scenery of the surrounding Wisconsin landscape.

Schuetz is a 1993 Lincoln High School graduate. He received his degree for graphic design from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1996 and has been a professional designer since. He currently lives In Wisconsin Dells with his wife, Dorothy and is the designer at Two Rivers Signs, Portage. He has three adult children – Kas, Korey, and Sadie.

Brian has been painting in oils for 30 years and has received many local, state, and national awards. His work consists primarily of landscapes of the central Wisconsin area. He is a member of Oil Painters of America.

The joint exhibit will continue through Feb. 19.
