Kellner store sells $350K SuperCash ticket

MADISON – A Kellner store sold a SuperCash ticket that claimed the top prize during the Dec. 29 drawing.
Michael Hamilton, Bancroft, claimed his $350,000 prize on Jan. 4.
A frequent lottery player for the past 10 years, Hamilton won using a quick pick on the ticket he purchased at The Store, 4010 80th Street S., Wisconsin Rapids.
As the winning retailer, The Store will receive an incentive of $7,000 – equal to 2 percent of the prize amount.
Hamilton stated that he was in disbelief when he checked his numbers on the Wisconsin Lottery website. He called his wife and had her come home from work to double check the numbers. While he plans to initially pay bills, invest, and save his winnings, Hamilton admitted that he may consider retiring earlier than originally planned.
The win marked the 17th SuperCash top prize drawn in 2018 and was the second of two in a nine-day span – Dec. 23- 29 – to close the calendar year.
