Duane Hill Obituary

Duane J. Hill, age 53, of Wisconsin Rapids died Tuesday January 8, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday January 12, 2019 at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. A prayer service will follow at 1:00 PM Saturday. Burial will be at a later date at Babcock Cemetery.

Duane was born July 12, 1965 in Wisconsin Rapids to Arthur and Sandra (Mlsna) Hill. He was the longtime owner of Four Stools Short tavern in Wisconsin Rapids. He previously was the manager at Gruetzmachers Bowling and Night Club in Wisconsin Rapids for eight years.

Duane was an avid sports fan who followed the Packers, Badgers, Bucks and Brewers as well as NASCAR and golf. He was truly a kind and generous person who would open his door to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents Arthur and Sandra Hill of Nekoosa; son Captain Christopher O’Dell stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany and Christopher’s brother Master Sergeant Jeremy O’Dell stationed at Joint Base Andrews; his daughter Jasmine Schedgick of Wisconsin Rapids and Jasmine’s sister Isabelle and two brothers Douglas Hill and Darin (Fiancé Hanna Stam) Hill.

Duane was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry and Anastasia Mlsna and Floyd and Elizabeth Hill.
