Drug arrest in Sherry

SHERRY – In the early morning hours of Jan. 9, a search warrant was executed in the town of Sherry after Wood County Sheriff’s Department received information regarding methamphetamine trafficking at a Sherry residence.
Wood County Sheriff Department Special Response Team executed the search warrant where quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were seized from the residence. Several firearms were also located.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in this investigation by the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force Team.
Two people were taken into custody as a result of the search warrant and charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. The investigation is ongoing.
Names of the suspects have not been released.
