Nancy M. (Kleppin) Schenck passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Pallitive Care. Nancy was born in Wisconsin Rapids WI on March 19, 1946 to Leo & Sophie Kleppin. After graduating from Lincoln High school, Nancy married Orville Howen. While they were married, they had 5 children; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The marriage ended in divorce. Nancy later married Bill Schenck.

Nancy worked as a typesetter, customer service representative and lastly, as a manager of several local gas stations. Nancy lovingly stitched special blankets and pillows, along with clothes for her kids and grandkids through the years. Her amazing one-of-a-kind Halloween outfits will always have a special place in our hearts. Her biggest love was her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved every moment she shared with them.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Lori Hudson (Rich Melberg) Lisa Howen (Hans Fuhrimann) and Paul (Michelle) Howen, her grandkids and great-grandkids, sister Dorothy Richards, brother Jim (Barb) Kleppin, a niece and 2 nephews, and two very special friends-Judy Stashek and Betty Steltzner.

Those waiting to greet her include her husband, Bill, her sons Eric and Mark Howen, grandson Jacob Howen, brother Robert Kleppin, and ex-husband Orville Howen.

“What we once enjoyed deeply we can never lose.  All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”

A memorial service will be held on January 18th at Faith Reformed Church, 1321 32nd Street North, Wisconsin Rapids WI. Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. with service beginning at 11:00.

Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society and John Buettgen Funeral Home are assisting the family at this time. Online condolences may be expressed at www.HonorOne.com
