Three charged in Point robbery
For the Rapids City Times
STEVENS POINT – Three individuals, including a Wisconsin Rapids man, are facing robbery charges for the July theft of a Stevens Point business.
The Stevens Point woman who said she was robbed at gunpoint while opening the 13th Floor Canteen, later revealed she was in on the heist and has been found guilty of the crime.
Vicki Ladecki has entered a “no contest” plea to one count of being a party to felony theft for the July 14 incident in which two masked men walked into the tavern and made off with more than $10,000.
Ladecki originally entered an innocent plea to a charge of being a party to the crime of armed robbery, but in exchange for the no contest plea the charges were reduced. A judge then found her guilty and set a sentencing date for Feb. 11.
Also charged in the case are 37-year-old Charles Miller of Wisconsin Rapids and 25-year-old Taydisa Strassburg of Mosinee. They face charges of armed robbery and have pleaded innocent. Strassburg will have a pre-trial conference on Feb. 11. Miller has no court action scheduled.
