Clarence Droste

Clarence “Clem” Droste, age 76, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Monday, January 21, 2019 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Fr. Dale Grubba will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends at Ritchay Funeral Home from 3:00-6:00 PM Sunday and Monday from 10:00-11:00 AM.
Clem was born May 20, 1942 in Big Flats, WI to Clarence and Gladys (Johnson) Droste. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. Clem married Susan M. Wiegers on November 5, 1976 in Marshfield, WI. Clem was a service manager for Johnson & Sons in Wisconsin Rapids for 40 years and also was employed by Nascar for 35 years. He retired in December 2017.
Clem was a member of CWRA, the Elks Club, NRA, Muskie Today Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited and was also a hunter’s safety instructor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and racing.
Clem is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Scott (Michelle Hizer) Droste; daughter, Sonja (Todd) Christ; four grandchildren, Scott Droste, Shane Droste, Tyler Christ and Hailey Christ; one great granddaughter, Athena Droste; three brothers, Richard (Jacki) Droste, John Droste and Pete (Penny) Droste; five sisters, Shirley Droste, Lucy Keuntjes, Nancy (Bob) Schmidt, Marlene (Butch) Kruger and Shelby (Chuck) Sorrell; brother-in-law, Ken (Sheryl) Wiegers and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Droste; brothers-in-law, Steve Wiegers and Maynard Keuntjes and sister-in-law, Sandy Droste.
