Internal Burgle

On Jan. 17 at 1:13 p.m., on South Third Street in Wisconsin Rapids, a burglary alarm was triggered. The complainant reported that an interior motion sensor alarm had been set off. Police spoke with a woman who stated that she had just left the residence, but when asked for the passcode, gave an incorrect answer.

Woman assaulted by ex

On Jan. 17 at 1:55 p.m., a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her. The woman stated that the assault had occurred earlier that morning and that it had taken place outside of their apartment building. The woman displayed bruises.

Attempted Break-In

On Jan. 17 at 11:28 p.m., a caller reported that he had woken up to noises outside and had seen someone peering into a window. He reported that the two unknown persons attempted to break in through his garage but were unable to get inside. He stated that he did not see which way they went when they left but that one of the individuals was wearing a gray hoodie. The attempted break-in occurred on North 23rd Street in Wisconsin Rapids.

Train holds up traffic

On Jan. 20 at 9:08 a.m., a woman reported that the crossing at North 5th Avenue and South 34th Street in Wisconsin Rapids was blocked by a train. She stated that the train was having issues getting air and that the crossing would be blocked for an estimated 30 minutes. The woman said that she would call again when the crossing was clear.

Grand Theft Larceny

On Jan. 20 at 9:15 a.m., a caller reported that there were two male subjects going through vehicles at Gray’s Service in Wisconsin Rapids. The caller, a clerk at a gas station, stated that a customer had just stopped in to inform him of what was happening.

Female shoplifters raid the Dollar General

On Jan. 20 at 7:18 p.m., an employee of the Dollar General in Wisconsin Rapids reported that two shoplifters had just taken off running from the store. The employee reported that both of the subjects were females and that one had long hair and was wearing a light blue jacket while the other had her hair up and a headband and was wearing a black jacket.
