WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The following warming sites are available to anyone in need during the extreme cold weather Wood County is experiencing.

Those needing a warm place to stay in the Wisconsin Rapids-Adams area may find accommodations at: Adams County Library, 569 N. Cedar St., Adams, hours vary by day; Adams County Community Center,  569 N. Cedar St., Adams, Tuesday-Friday, 8 a.m. –  4:30 p.m.; Gunderson Moundview Hospital Solarium Room, 402 W. Lake St., Friendship, Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.; McMillan Memorial Library, 490 E. Grand Ave., Wisconsin Rapids, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Rome Town Hall, 1156 Alpine Dr., Rome, Tuesday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Wisconsin Rapids Centralia Center, 220 Third Ave. South, Wisconsin Rapids, until 4:30 p.m.; and Walmart, 4331 Eighth St. South, Wisconsin Rapids, available 24-hours a day.
