January 21, 2019
Car Raid
On Jan. 21 at 6:04 a.m., a woman reported that her purse had been stolen out of her unlocked car. She stated that the theft had taken place on South 22nd Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids and that her purse had contained her wallet, work keys, and debit card. She further reported that the car had been clearly gone through and that things had been left strewn about inside.
Theft at Walmart
On Jan. 21 at 6:05 p.m., a Walmart employee reported that two thefts had occurred. He stated that the first theft had happened the day before on Jan. 20 and that the second one had taken place around noon of Jan. 21. The employee stated the thefts had been caught on camera and that he believed it was the same person both times.

Mailbox prowler out and about
On Jan. 22 at 5:00 a.m. a Wisconsin Rapids resident on North 16th Street reported that she had seen a man in a black Kia go through her mailbox on Jan. 19. She reported that the male was white with dark brown hair and facial hair and that she had seen him again in the neighborhood, this time by the apartments.

Intoxicated man creates disturbance
On Jan. 23 at 10:40 a.m., it was reported that there was a male subject in the Parkview Apartments in Wisconsin Rapids who was intoxicated and creating a disturbance. The caller reported that the man had been yelling and lashing out, nearly striking other tenants, and that he was now up in his room and was armed with a gun.
Unknown and unwelcome house guests set up shop
On Jan. 23 at 5 a.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report that she had noticed a car parked in the driveway of a house that she owned but that no one was currently living there. She added that upon inspection, she discovered the presence of tools in the house suggesting that remodeling of some sort was going on. She reported that nothing had been stolen but requested that a patrol be set up around the house.

Streetlight felled by vehicle
On Jan. 28 at 12:17 p.m., a man reported that there had been a two-vehicle crash on Grand Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids. The man stated that there had been no injuries and no blockage, but that a streetlight had been knocked over.
Verbal Disturbance
On Jan. 28 at 6:24 p.m., a verbal disturbance was reported. A very heated argument was taking place between a male and a female and the male was threatening to kill the female or hurt her if she continued to talk.
