Elva L. Johnson, of Port Edwards, WI died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Waterford Assisted Living Center in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at St. Alexander’s Catholic Church, Port Edwards, WI. Fr John Swing will officiate. Visitation will be at St. Alexander’s Church on Wednesday from 9:30-11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Village of Port Edwards Cemetery. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is assisting the family.

Elva was born May 30, 1928 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Steve and Florence (Baker) Rodock. She married Robert E. Johnson on December 16, 1950 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Elva was a member of the St. Alexander’s Women’s Club, the Edgewater Haven Auxiliary and was a volunteer for various local groups and charities for the past 40 years.

Elva is survived by her husband Robert; three children, Diane (Bill) Czlapinski, Richard Johnson and Gail (James) Lindner; daughter-in-law, Joyce Johnson;  nine grandchildren, Dawn (Fiancé- Arturo Herrera) Johnson, Cassandra (Christopher) Carter, Michelle Czlapinski, Kim (Danny) Soliz, Jessica (Noah) Dresser, Richard Johnson, Jamie (Christian) Dow, Shannon Lindner and Robert Lindner; nine great grandchildren, Daniel Soliz, Susanna Soliz, William Soliz, Cecelia Dresser, Michael Skerven, Maddeline Skerven, Violet Lindner, Cora Lindner and Mia Carter; four siblings, Earl Rodock, Phyllis Hoag, Evelyn Moody and Steve (Betty) Rodock Jr. and sister-in-law, Florence Deike.

Elva was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lt. Col. Dennis Johnson; mother and father-in-law, Walter and Cecilia Johnson; brothers and sisters in law, Archie (Evelyn) Rodock and Russell (Janis) Rodock, sister-in-law, Alice Rodock and brother-in-law, Lee Deike.
