WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids celebrated the “special delivery” of its new birthplace on Jan. 31. The grand opening for the Aspirus Riverview Family Birthplace included self-guided tours, teddy bears, and light refreshments. News mothers and moms-to-be untied a ribbon of baby blankets in lieu of a traditional ribbon cutting.

The new birthplace officially opens on Feb.14 and is located on the third floor of Aspirus Riverview Tower on the west end of the hospital campus. Babies will continue to be delivered in the current Aspirus Riverview Family Birthplace until the new birthplace opens.
