Dear readers,

Julie Schooley

Schooley

As we move into February, the Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids offices have just compiled our fourth issue of BeYOUtiful women’s magazine. If you haven’t had a chance to grab a copy, the Spring 2019 issue will be out on stands Feb. 20. A list of distribution spots is available on our BeyoutifulWisconsinWomen Facebook page. A digital copy will be available on the Facebook page as well.

As I travel among the two communities our Marshfield Hub City Times (HCT) and Wisconsin Rapids City Times (WRCT) publications serve, I am surprised to find that many do not know of our online presence. Our digital editions in these areas help provide daily news and updates to these service areas. While printing a daily copy is much more than a free publication can provide, our online edition allows us to provide the same service without the overwhelming expense.

While our print edition is limited to the editorial content that the advertising can support, our online edition provides much more in the way of additional stories, obituaries, weekly police blotter reports, and community information and tips. The Wisconsin Rapids area online edition may found at https://wrcitytimes.wpengine.com, while the Marshfield area online publication is located at www.hubcitytimes.com.

With the new year, we are making a few changes and adding some new faces. As we adjust the structure of the circulation department, which serves distribution in the Marshfield and Rapids areas, we are working to make changes in procedures and processes in the department. As a result, Julie Schooley will move into a role with the circulation department, where she will oversee carriers and distribution issues, while maintaining her marketing assistant hours.

Bailee Ciezki

While you still may see Julie out taking photos at events, most of her editorial responsibilities will now be handled by new HCT/WRCT Editorial Assistant Keara Wood. Keara is a freshman at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, pursuing a double major in Spanish and Art, and a minor in English.

Another recent addition to our staff is intern, Bailee Ciezki. Bailee is a student at the UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield, where she is studying for her Associates of Arts and Science in business. Bailee supplements Julie in the photography area and assists in social media.

We welcome Keara and Bailee into the MMC family and look forward to the talents they will bring to the HCT and WRCT publications.
