Nekoosa boys fall to Wautoma

NEKOOSA – Nekoosa boys basketball played a home conference game against Wautoma Feb. 5. The Papermakers started the game alongside Wautoma, but fell behind and were down 33- 15 by the half.

Nekoosa picked up scoring in the second half but couldn’t quite come back from the deficit, losing 67-51.

Leading the scoring for Nekoosa was Jace Lobner, with 12. Keagan Kolo, Drew Doebereiner, John Barten, and Dylan Bills each added eight.

Alex Henriksen led scoring for Wautoma with 21, while Ryan Lois added 16.

The Wautoma Hornets move to 11- 7 on the season and are third in the South Central Conference, while the Nekoosa Papermakers move to 2- 15 on the season and land in fifth.
