Michael D. Whitrock, age 69, of the Town of Rome, Adams County, WI died Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.  Deacon Tom Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Michael was born November 4, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Donald and Bernice Whitrock. He married Elizabeth R. Cychosz on August 8, 1970 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2013. Mike was employed at New Page Paper Corp. for 40 years retiring in 2010 as an industrial painter.

Mike was a member of the Steel Workers Local 94, at one time serving as vice-president, recording secretary, steward and chairman of the Joint Group. He was a long time member of the Corvettes of the North. He enjoyed corvettes, classic cars, racing, traveling, deer hunting, and music and was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.

Mike is survived by one son, Nathan (Joanna) Whitrock of Sun Prairie, WI; four grandchildren, Chloe, Carley, Grace and Gavin; one sister, Peggy (Allen) Ose of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; two nieces, Megan (Sam Liverseed) Ose and Emily (Ben) Cooper and mother-in-law, Elaine Graper. He is also survived by special companion, Daria Skibba and Daria’s children, Stacy (Justin) Kramer and Chris Skibba and Daria’s grandchildren, Stephen, Maverick, Haylan and Parker.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth; and son, Ryan Whitrock.
