Mary J. Garrity, 78, of Wisconsin Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 17, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Services will be at 11 A.M. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Jack Austin will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Plymouth Cemetery in Mauston, WI.  A time of visitation will also take place on Thursday, February 21, 2019 beginning at 9:30 A.M. at the church.  Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family.

Mary was born April 21, 1940 in Elroy, WI to Rueben and Olga (Nordmark) Madden. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Garrity, on July 19, 1971.  Mary loved dancing, cleaning house, and caring for her family. Her children were her life and showed them every chance she could. She also loved reading her Bible and doing circle word books. Babies were her joy to hold and rock.

Mary is survived by 10 children: Lori (Michael) Giles, Debra (Roger) Giles, Kristy (Joe) Bender, Donna (Howard) Franklin, Kimberly (Raul) Medina, Carolyn Ewing, Wayne (Jessica) Wilson, Tammy Heiney, Kenneth Garrity, and Kathy Garrity; 86 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; her sister, Shirley (Nueman) Waddell; and her brother, Stanley (Olive) Madden.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Garrity; her brothers: George, Donald, John, Richard, and Robert; and her sister, Helen Madden.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be donated in her name to ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION (http://act.alz.org).
