Pittsville auditorium named for local teacher

For the Rapids City Times
PITTSVILLE – The Pittsville High School auditorium has been renamed in honor of a local music teacher.
Margaret Worchel Gronski was a teacher at Pittsville schools for over 37 years. She began her teaching career in Pittsville on Sept. 21, 1974. During her career, she taught general music classes as well as directing various choirs. Her long career enabled her to touch three generations of multiple families.
After her retirement in 2011, she continued to support the music program by substituting in Pittsville and Spencer.
Margaret passed away on Dec. 13, 2014, just days before Pittsville’s winter concert. Her dedication to the Pittsville music program will now live on in the Margaret Worchel Gronski Fine Arts Center.
