ROME – The 2019 Lake Arrowhead SnoBlast event was one for the books, with a record number of community members coming together the second week of February to raise money for local charities in Wood and Adams counties.

Through numerous activities, the association raised over $6,000, which will go to: Nekoosa Backpack for Kids, Adams County Food Pantry, Adams County Humane Society, St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Services, Boys & Girls Club, Port Edwards Student Council, Marshfield Clinic Cancer Research, Adams County Meals on Wheels Program, American Legion Auxiliary-Ryan Larson Unit 65, American Legion Post- Ryan Larson Unit 65, Adams County Safe Ride, Rome Police Department, Rome Sno Bandits, Rome Fire Department, St. Jude, Alex C Dove Foundation and Wisconsin Rapids ODC.

“It is always rewarding to support and aid so many different causes and organizations within our communities.  We thank everyone who participated and contributed in making SnoBlast 2019 a smashing success!” stated Joel Barth, Lake Arrowhead Association general manager.

This was the 23rd year Lake Arrowhead has held the celebration that includes food, music, comedy and games. The annual event is held the second weekend every February. Next year’s event will take place, Feb. 7-9, 2020.
