Rapids boys advance to regional semifinal

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids boys basketball team will advance to regional semifinal competition following a Feb. 26 win against Wausau West at Lincoln High School.
The Red Raiders had the lead, 26-22, going into the half. While Wausau West doubled their score in the second half, Rapids added another 31 to win 57-44.
Matt Schooley was lead scorer for Lincoln, with 13. Dylan Lisitza had 12. Nathan Krommennakker and Austin Pelot each added 11.
For Wausau West, Peter Fuchs had 20 and Mitchell Zahurones had 12.
Rapids will next face Kimberly, at Kimberly, in regional semifinal competition on March 1.
