For the Rapids City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters is seeking applicants for host families for the 2019 baseball season.

Each year, roughly 45 elite college baseball players from around the country come to Wisconsin Rapids to better their baseball skills, and showcase their talent, in the Northwoods League. The Rafters have a Host Family Program where members of the greater Wisconsin Rapids community can host players for the season.

Not only does hosting a player connect you with Rafters Baseball, but it provides you with an opportunity to connect with young, aspiring athletes from around the United States. Hosting players allows families to develop fun and strong connections with the Rafters and Northwoods organization. Over the past nine years, 65 former Rafters have gone on to play professional baseball – 36 are still playing.

Host families receive additional benefits, such as: free Bleacher Season Tickets with the ability to upgrade, merchandise discounts, free passes to Northwoods League ballparks, and much more.

For more information, visit raftersbaseball.com or email Host Family Coordinator Brandon Abbott at djonthego.biz@gmail.com.
