For the Rapids City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State’s continuing education is now offering a course to help law enforcement officers know their surroundings and react to them. Law Enforcement Recertification – Situational Awareness meets March 28 and April 11, on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus, with TelePresence delivery available at all other Mid-State campuses.

The class will discuss topics related to tactical situational awareness including a strategic look at application of situational awareness where adaptability decides your survivability, reactive enforcement protocol compared to prevention-based enforcement, protecting our community in balance with an evolving criminal threat, reality concepts used by Navy SEALS providing a specific understanding of existing vulnerabilities, operational survivability, and human nature.
