Neal Brown Jr.

Neal Brown, Jr., 65, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away, Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Marshfield Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Services will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in the town of Sigel at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will take place at later date.  Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 442-Wisconsin Rapids. A time of visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Brown Family. Neal was born July 13, 1953 in Hollandale, MS to Neal and Margaret (Stokes) Brown, Sr. He was raised in Chicago, Il, where he graduated from high school. Neal went on to serve his country in the Navy, Peace Corps. He married April Blaskowski on June 22, 2001. They were soulmates for 20 years.  Neal worked as a Chicago Housing officer, as a security guard, and maintenance man. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Neal enjoyed his trips to the gun range with his son, Caleb. Outdoor barbeques were a special event with the family. His love for Brody, was more than people could understand, brought a sparkle to his eye and a smile to his face.  Above all, Neal’s love and focus was his family.

Neal is survived by his loving wife, April; his children: Caleb (Jen) Blaskowski, Courtney Brown, Arianna Brown, Neal Brown III, Christian Brown, Ciara Brown, Renaldo Ford, Terell Brown, and Traneal Brown.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Neal Brown, Sr.; his daughters, Brittany Blaskowski and Brandy Brown; and his brother, James Earl Brown.  Neal is loved and will be deeply missed.
