WISCONSIN RAPIDS – One of the suspects in a December 2017 Wisconsin Rapids home invasion  has been sentenced to prison time.

Pedro Rodriguez Gonzales, 18, will serve seven years behind bars and another five years of extended supervision, after pleading guilty in Wood County Court to barging into the home with a gun and demanding drugs and cash. Gonzales and Jorge Ochoa got away with various items before shooting 51-year-old Terry Lafler in the stomach.

During the incident, one of Lafler’s daughters said she had a gun pointed at her head and heard a click.

Ochoa is also facing charges from the incident. His case is pending.
