MARSHFIELD – The Central Wisconsin State Fair has announced their full schedule of grandstand acts for the 2019 fair.

Aug. 20, 7:30 p.m. – Vic Ferrari
Entertaining audiences since 1988, Vic Ferrari has played over 2,500 shows. Their loyal and large fan base has followed the group through 10 countries and 25 states to experience the fun and energy of their live shows.

This is a band of singers, allowing them to have different voices covering multiple genres and producing a varied playlist of hits.

Aug. 22, 7:30 p.m. – Brent & Kyle, opening act; Kentucky Headhunters, main act
Brent Meece and Kyle Leonhardt perform in the Nashville area, as well as making yearly visits to the central Wisconsin area. The country duo appeal to fans as “two friends who enjoy making music and throwing a party.”
“The Kentucky Headhunters,” says founding member, guitarist/vocalist Richard Young, “are and always will be in love with playing live. It’s our lifeblood.” The Grammy-winning band—declared “the great American rock ‘n’ roll band” by Billboard—is never more spontaneous and unpredictable then when they are performing live on stage.
With no other country, rock or blues band quite like them, it’s no surprise that the history of The Kentucky Headhunters is as deeply rooted as their music. Growing up on a 1300-acre family farm in Edmonton, Kentucky, the Young brothers Richard and Fred, cousins Greg Martin and Anthony Kenney heard plenty of raucous R&B and deep, soulful blues courtesy of Fred and Richard’s mother.
Their first album, 1989’s “Pickin’ On Nashville,” was released by Mercury Records and sold over two million copies.

Aug, 23, 7:30 p.m. – Smash Mouth
Formed in late 1994, the band immediately began recording demos and showcasing in both San Jose and Hollywood, CA. In June 1997, Smash Mouth is signed to Interscope Records after an L.A. radio station began playing their song “Walkin’ on the Sun”.
Smash Mouth’s major-label debut “Fush Yu Mang” went double platinum and set the table for their follow-up album “Astrolounge”. The album boasted three top-10 hits – “All-Star,” “Then the Morning Comes,” and “Can’t Get Enough of You Baby.” Sales for the album are approaching quadruple platinum.

Smash Mouth’s third Interscope release features the ecstatic first single “Pacific Coast Party” and the smash hit “I’m a Believer”. Around this time, Smash Mouth crossed over to the film world by providing the musical heart of the soundtrack for “Shrek.”

In recent years, Smash Mouth has focused on touring and entertaining troops in places like Japan, Guam, Guantanamo Bay, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

A monster truck show, scheduled for Aug. 24, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and the annual demolition derby, on Aug. 25 at 2 p.m., were previously announced.
