Roberta Louise DeWitt, 86, of Wisconsin Rapids, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Cornerstone Community Church, 711 14th Street North, Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Kevin Bishop will officiate. Visitation, for family and friends, will be at 12:30 P.M. until the time of the funeral service.

Roberta was born August 15, 1932 in Stevens Point to Walter and Delia (Coats) Emery. She married the love of her life, Cecil DeWitt, on October 22, 1955 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. They lived in Madison and Stevens Point, before settling down in Wisconsin Rapids, to raise their two daughters. Cecil preceded her in death on June 3, 2005.

Roberta is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Paul) Helminiak and Ronda (Jim) Alft; her grandchildren: Kompten (Craig) Jackson, Phillip Alft, Jordyn Alft, and Landen Alft; her great-grandchildren: Chyler DeWitt, Brinley DeWitt-Jackson, and Brayden DeWitt-Jackson; her sisters: June Bovee, Betty Murray, Lucille (Wayne) Weckler, and Lois Crable; her sisters-in-law, Darlene Klevene and Lorraine Dewitt; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mom was a Godly woman who is loved and will be deeply missed.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Rev. Kevin Bishop, and the staff at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, for your loving care and assistance, and all you have done to help us through the loss of our beloved mom.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the DeWitt family.
