RUDOLPH – A dedication will take place during the sixth annual Dick Trickle Memorial Celebration, held May 19, to celebrate the completion of a tribute project honoring the late race car driver.
The Dick Trickle Memorial Project has been developed in the Village Park, 1757 Park St., Rudolph, where the driver grew up.
The design concept includes a life-size bronze statue of Trickle and two half-circle walls – one made of black granite with donor inscriptions and one with words of dedication and over 200 race cars.
The statue will be unveiled at 2 p.m., during the noon – 6 p.m. May 19 celebration.
During his racing career, Trickle competed in the All Pro, ARCA, ARTGO, ASA, IMCA, NASCAR, and USAC circuits. Trickle passed away in 2013.
