Nekoosa softball advances to sectionals

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Nekoosa girls softball team will advance to sectionals, after a May 23 regional finals win against Tomahawk in Nekoosa.

Elise Waltenberg scored a double and an RBI, and Zoe Sorenson had an RBI, in a game that Anna Schaefbauer pitched all seven innings. Anna allowed no hits, while walking four.

Nekoosa claimed a 3-1 win against Tomahawk and will move on to face Oconto May 28 at 5 p.m. in Nekoosa.
