MARSHFIELD – Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield are two of 30 Wisconsin communities that will bring together Special Olympics athletes and local law enforcement in a run/bike torch run to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI).

Participants will join together and make their way to the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point for the June 6 start of the SOWI State Summer Games.

Members of local police departments, sheriff’s offices, Wisconsin State Patrol, federal agencies, the Wisconsin DNR, military, and county officials are being asked to participate.
