WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Friends Of Rapids Music (FRM) Music Festival is back for a fourth year, featuring six local bands and The People Brothers Band from Madison.

The free music festival will be held on June 22, noon – 9 p.m., at Robinson Park, Wisconsin Rapids, in cooperation with the Cranberry Blossom Festival.

The event showcases a host of bands from different musical genres. FRM President Connie Tomski-Faville describes the event as “a celebration of music and community” and is particularly excited to showcase types of music new to the festival.

“We have an acoustic duo, indie acoustic, sixties surfer instrumental, funk, rock, and blues this year” said Tomski-Faville. “The first six bands are local, and the headliner, 2019 WAMI Winner for Best R&B/Soul Artist, The People Brothers Band is from Madison.”

”More than a lot of Madison bands, The People Brothers Band knows how to get their audience dancing” says Rich Albertoni of Madison’s Isthmus magazine.  “Their stage energy is infectious and their strong rhythms make listeners want to move.”
