Phillip W. Powell Sr.
Phillip W. Powell Sr., age 70, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the UW Medical Center in Madison, Wisconsin following complications from COPD.
Phillip was born on September 21, 1948 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to William Powell and Marion (Baker) Ross. After serving in Vietnam, Phillip received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy in 1972. He would later work for Consolidated Papers Inc. for 31 years after which he retired in 2003.
Phillip is survived by his children Phillip Powell Jr. of Wisconsin Rapids, Joseph (Missy) Powell of Wisconsin Rapids; 2 grandchildren Mason Powell of Wisconsin Rapids, Makayla Snedden of Oshkosh; sister Mary (Sue) Kennedy; brother CJ Powell. He is further survived by the love of his life, Violet Powell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family will be having a memorial gathering for family and close friends at a later date.
