Rapids area businesses pass 2019 tobacco compliance checks

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Of 20 Wood County businesses checked in 2019, 16 were found to comply with tobacco sales laws, by not selling to youth under the age of 18.
The Central Wisconsin Tobacco Free Coalition, in partnership with the Wood County Health Department, Healthy People Wood County Coalition, and local law enforcement agencies, has been conducting retail compliance checks around Wood County as part of the Wisconsin Wins Program.
The following business passed during the checks: AA Roadhouse – 784 Highway 73 South, Nekoosa; Copps Food Center – 900 East Riverview Expressway, Wisconsin Rapids; Dollar General – 951 West Grand Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids; Dollar General – 961 Market Street, Nekoosa; Grand Avenue BP/Fast Fuel Mart – 1151 West Grand Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids; Kwik Trip – 2520 West Grand Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids; Mobile Station – 106 1st Street, Nekoosa; Piggly Wiggly – 1025 Market Street, Nekoosa; Quality Foods IGA – 1021 West Grand Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids; Quality Foods IGA – 1811 Baker Drive, Wisconsin Rapids; Rapids Bread & Butter Shop West – 1740 17th Avenue South, Wisconsin Rapids; Saratoga Mini Mart – 8810 State Highway 13 South, Wisconsin Rapids; Switched – 2609 Highway 73 South, Nekoosa; Terry’s BP – 100 Market Street, Nekoosa; The Party Connection -626 Market Street, Nekoosa; and The Store – 9630 State Highway 13 South, Wisconsin Rapids.
