Riverkings sign top line veteran forward

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Patrick McCoy will join the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings in his final season of junior hockey.
Riverkings Head Coach Marty Quarters is excited to the additional veteran leadership being added to the roster. “Signing Patrick is a big step as we continue our quest to remain a top team in what has become a very competitive Midwest Division of the USPHL – Premier,” he said. “This is a player that we recruited hard last season and feel fortunate that fate brought him to us as a 20-year-old veteran.
“McCoy plays a heavy, aggressive game in all three zones. He has a high hockey IQ, great stick skills, ice vision and strong leadership qualities. He plays a ‘man’s game.’ I am excited for Patrick to join teammate and friend, Jered Stevenson. I know without a doubt that his passion and hard work will help propel our team in a positive direction. The Riverkings’ culture will provide a professional environment and supportive fan base that Patrick will excel in.”
McCoy says he looks forward to hitting the ice with his old teammate and Riverking returner, Stevenson.
“I’m excited to play somewhere new, and to join my close friend for our last year of juniors. It is going to be one to remember. I can’t wait to get started,” McCoy said.
