For the Rapids City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – National country music recording artist and Iraq war veteran Derek Jones will perform a free acoustic concert benefiting the Never Forgotten Honor Flight at B’s Tap House, 140 E. Grand Ave., Wisconsin Rapids, on Aug. 8 at 7 p.m.

There is no charge for admission, but donations will be accepted to cover the costs of the event and to raise funds to send local veterans to Washington on an Honor Flight.  B’s Tap House and Wisconsin Rapids-based High Gear Promotions teamed up on an Honor Flight fundraiser with Manitowoc Minute’s Charlie Berens which raised over $1,500, enough to send three local veterans on an Honor Flight.
