Chaparral off to Northwoods League

MARSHFIELD – Pitcher Kade Lancour, Nekoosa, is leaving the Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team to spend the rest of the summer with the Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League.
Lancour pitches for Ripon during the college season, and pitched in 15 games as a sophomore in 2019. Lancour was 3-4 with a 5.73 ERA. Kade threw 44 innings, allowing 28 earned runs on 49 hits. He walked 22 batters and struck out 30. Lancour also pitched in eight games as a freshman in 2018, and was 0-2 with a 6.35 ERA.
He joins a Willmar team that has used 22 pitchers this season, with a team ERA of 3.79. Willmar had a 27-21 record heading into this week’s Northwoods League all-star break, and won the first half championship in the Great Plains-West division.
