WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Farmers Market has a new location and new offerings for the 2019 season.

This year, the market is housed in a new location on First Avenue South, between West Grand Avenue and Goggins Street. The farmers market is open Thursdays and Saturdays, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., until Oct. 26.

Also new, the farmers market accepts EBT, FoodShare, credit cards, and debit cards. Gift certificates are also available for purchase.

Stop by the management booth to swipe your card to receive your wooden tokens. Each token is worth $1 to spend at the farmers market. FoodShare tokens are good for produce at the market. Tokens purchased with a credit or debit card act like cash to get you any product available at the market.

The farmers market also accepts WIC, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers, and Aspirus Fruit and Veggie RX, which is a non-pharmaceutical prescription available through Aspirus and other local health centers.

The farmers market offers Double Dollar Days. This promotion is valid for Wisconsin Quest/FoodShare card holders, by stopping at the management booth and swiping your card. This is offered the last Thursday and Saturday of every month.
