WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings have signed former Lincoln High School standout and leading goal scorer, Colton Flammini.
Coach Marty Quarters said that is excited to help develop a player like Colton, especially one that can stay in his own community and continue to thrive.
“The Riverkings are excited to sign Colton and are looking forward to having a positive hand in his development,” Quarters said. “I feel that with Colton’s size, speed, and goal-scoring ability that he is just starting to scratch the surface.
“He is a player that I anticipate will have the ability to play at the next level and or NCAA Hockey. Signing Colton gives our fans a hometown player to cheer for and also gives Colton an opportunity to give back to his community through the game he loves.
“Colton is a player that works extremely hard, has a passion to be the best he can be, and his character demonstrates class and professionalism across the board.”
Colton is also very excited about his junior hockey journey beginning with the Riverkings.
“Having the opportunity to stay home and develop with the Riverkings was too good to pass up,” he said. “I have known Coach Quarters and his staff through practicing with them these last few years and they treat their players well and work hard to develop and promote them, which is what I was looking for.
“I’m also looking to helping them continue to be top team and give back to my community”.
Colton, and his Riverkings players, will report to Quarters at the end of August to begin training for the 2019-2020 season.
