Rangers lose bid for state championship

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapid Post 9 Rangers fell to Oshkosh in Triple-A American Legion state tournament action on July 29 at Casper Park in Chippewa Falls.

The Rangers fell behind early, but had an opportunity to tie the game at the bottom of the seventh. A tagged out at home plate, ended the game with Oshkosh leading 4-3.

The loss eliminated Wisconsin Rapids from the championships. Oshkosh moves on to play Eau Claire on July 30 at 5 p.m.
