Heart of Wisconsin partners with the community to show support

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — On July 26, the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce and Incourage held a luncheon for the visiting and local utility crews at Water Works and Lighting Commission as they restored power to the community.
Feeding well over 100 individuals, local businesses and community members donated food and beverages that gave the workers a feeling of a home-cooked meal.
“We wanted these workers to feel at home while they were in our community” commented Vice President Krista Coon, the lead organizer from the Heart of Wisconsin. “It was important for us as an organization to bring the community together to recognize these workers.”
The chamber is asking the public to share positive photos and stories from the storm and recovery on their Facebook page.
