WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Two local non-profit agencies will join together to raise money during a local family friendly event.

The Family Center and the Boys & Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area will host “Touch-A-Truck” on Aug. 24, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Grand Rapids Lions Club.

The inaugural event will feature life-size vehicles from a variety of businesses and occupations, with semi-tractor trailers, trucks, farm vehicles, army vehicles, utility vehicles, emergency vehicles, and more.

The event will also feature a Monster Truck Bounce House and children’s activities. Rosco, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters mascot, and Rowdy, the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings mascot, will make guest appearances.

In addition, the Grand Rapids Lions Club will provide free vision screenings for children, ages 4-12. Food will be on site for purchase.

For more information, go to the event page at www.familyctr.org.
