For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties will offer a series of six free workshops that provide families and caregivers with practical, user-friendly ideas to turn everyday activities into learning moments.

The workshops are for parents and caregivers of children up to four years of age.

The fall academy runs Wednesdays, Oct. 9 – Nov. 13, 5:15-6:45 p.m., at Mead Elementary School, and includes dinner, childcare, and a prize drawing each night.

Each academy workshop offers individualized attention and support to families, including: Research-based resources to take home which help parents apply their new knowledge; Opportunities to practice new skills with their children and with other parents; Free, age-appropriate and activity based childcare.

For more information or to register, contact Jodi Friday, 715-421-0390 or jodi@uwswac.org or visit https://www.uwswac.org/bornlearning-academy.
