On September 24, 2019, Hope Ann Stirk, loving daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and friend, passed away at the tender age of 19.

Hope was born on January 25, 2000 to Hannah Ewan (Stirk). She graduated from Lincoln High School in 2018 and began studying at Mid-State Technical College, before proudly enrolling in Minnesota State Mankato to study nursing in 2019. She was fiercely determined and intelligent, courageous and bold. She always put everyone before herself and was the first to offer a helping hand to someone in need. Her sarcasm was unparalleled and her Cardi B impressions could make you laugh for hours. The only thing she cherished more than her snowboarding gear was her favorite pair of aqua Crocs. She loved others without abandon and was loved by so many.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Linda Voss, and uncles, Isaiah and Kaleb Voss. She is survived by an extensive number of loving family members and friends, including her mother, siblings, step-father, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held for Hope at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ at 311 Second Street South in Wisconsin Rapids at 3:30 PM Saturday, September 28, 2019, with dinner to follow. Family and friends are encouraged to stay for lantern lighting and release at dusk.

The family of Hope Stirk asks that you remember her kindness, her humor, and her courage as you move through your life, and spread the love that she so selflessly gave with all those you meet.

“I know now that we never get over great losses; we absorb them, and they carve us into different, often kinder, creatures,” -Gail Caldwell
