For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wood County Drug Task Force will host a free screening of the documentary “Suicide – The Ripple Effect.”

The documentary focuses on the devastating effects of suicide and the positive ripple effects of advocacy, inspiration, and hope that are helping millions of people heal and stay alive. The film highlights Kevin Hines’ journey, who at age 19 attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge.

The film is appropriate for people aged 10 years and older. Following the documentary, there will be an opportunity for discussion with counselors.

The screening will take place Nov. 6 at Crossview Church, 1000 E. Riverview Expy, No. 120, Wisconsin Rapids, 5:45-8:30 p.m. The event is free and includes dinner.
