WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors honored members of their Great Futures Giving Club, as Scott and Ann Blanke, Miron Construction, and the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools (WRPS) were presented Blue Door Awards on Oct. 1 at the Bull’s Eye Country Club.

“The Blue Door Award was created several years ago to recognize donors and volunteers who have gone above and beyond in serving the Boys & Girls Club,” explained Boys & Girls Club Board Chair Jill Kurszewski. “The Blue Door is a visual representation of the great futures for our youth that lie behind every Club door. The Door represents opportunity.”

This year’s Individual Donor award recipients were Scott and Ann Blanke. Miron Construction was honored for their support to the club through their substantial sponsorships of events and support throughout the building process of the club’s new location. The final award of the evening went to WRPS, who has supported the club throughout the years and leases the Pitsch location to the club.
