Lincoln cross country takes third and fourth; Willow Sering qualifies for state competition

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Lincoln girls and boys placed third and fourth, respectively, at WIAA Division 1 sectional competition held Oct. 26 at Standing Rocks Park in Stevens Point.

The Lincoln girls took third as a team with a 74, finishing behind Stevens Point, 55, and Appleton North, 61.

Willow Sering finished sixth and qualifying for state competition. Sarah Price finished one spot away from state.

The boys placed fourth in sectional competition, with a 117, finishing behind Stevens Point, 45; Hortonville, 70; and Marshfield, 94.

Harrison Sullivan finished 15th and missed qualifying for state by one spot.

Sering advances to state competition held Nov. 2 at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
