From the Publisher: Nonconformity in a conformist world

Dear reader,

Nowadays and perhaps before, there seems to be a constant pressure to conform, fit in and take the normal route. If some people don’t fall into a set of expectations, society tries to change them or medicate them or shun them. Perhaps we need to rethink this. Everyone is unique with a distinctive, sometimes uncommon, sometimes peculiar bundle of gifts. Attempting to reconstruct individuals into a type of group-think, could adversely change them depriving the world what ultimately they would have had to offer. Do you think Van Gogh would fit in? How about Mozart, Steve Jobs, Frank Loyd Wright, or Gandhi? Probably not.

We all have stuff everyone can see and we all have stuff no one sees. Who can judge what each of us is here for in order to live an all purposeful life, especially if we can’t ever see the entire picture.  Why not tolerate and accept each other. Leave the changes for someone else maybe for the individual him/herself.

Let’s rejoice in the differences around us and in one another. This is how good people can do great things. Life is a celebration of advancement to higher levels of being. Join the party without judgment.
