Sharon Ann Sanchez
Sharon was born April 11, 1971 in Flemington, New Jersey to Virginia (Keller) and James Stack. Sharon graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, at which time she enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Sharon served in electronic intelligence for nine years before separating to pursue a degree in the culinary arts. Sharon then worked in the culinary field until her passing, to include assisting with the establishment of two Greenville restaurant businesses and most recently spending nine years at the bakery at Costco in Greenville. On August 15, 2004, she married her best friend and soulmate, Elbio Sanchez, with whom she shared many happy years.
Sharon was a fearless, stubborn and independent woman. There was no dissembling with Sharon; she said what she thought and was forthright in all she did. Yet, she also had a kindness and compassion that she shared with all who knew her. Sharon loved reading, often finding a sunny spot to lay in with a good novel. She was a talented cook who loved to share her passion for good food; she and Elbio were famous for their entertaining. Sharon provided Elbio with an enthusiastic travel buddy, sharing adventures to Elbio’s native Uruguay, as well as to Europe and throughout the United States. And Sharon was a dedicated auntie who was always involved and interested in the lives of her nieces, Lilian and Isabella, and her nephew, Joseph.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Elbio; her mother, Virginia and father, James; sister Erin (James) Sindle; brothers Matthew (Ann) Stack and Kevin Stack; and her puppies Pancho, Wolfie, Mines and Bailey.
A celebration of her life will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, Greenville, SC at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Family will be receiving friends before the service from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM.
