For the City Times
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre opens their holiday production on Dec. 6 with the classic comedy, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” directed by Keith Hetzel.
“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” is the story of how an unsuspecting family ends up directing the church’s annual Christmas pageant.
Grace Bradley is overwhelmed with all the preparations, yet she has no idea what is in store. Her daughter, Beth, is the narrator of the story. Bob Bradley, and son Charlie, get swept up into the chaos and mayhem of the Christmas pageant. Through a series of events, the Herdman family discovers church and takes over the major roles of the pageant.
Smoking in the ladies room, fighting over the baby Jesus, not knowing any of the stories of the Bible, and the church gossips all combine to create one of the most memorable Christmas pageants ever.
Performances will be held Dec. 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14 at 7:30 p.m., and December 8 and 15 at 2 p.m. in the mainstage theatre at Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre, located in the Centralia Center.
