Cultural Center reaches capital campaign goal
For the City Times
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Central Wisconsin Cultural Center has successfully reached its “Grow the Arts Capital Campaign” goal of $300,000 in contributions. Legacy Foundation of Central Wisconsin offered a challenge grant and will match all donations up to $300,000 toward the Center’s purchase of any existing building.
Steve Kipfer, Cultural Center board president, responded by stating, “We celebrate the broad-based support we’ve received as demonstrated by the number of individuals contributing to our campaign and the encouraging messages we’ve heard while reaching out for support. We believe our relocation will have a truly positive impact on the visibility and influence of the arts within our community, and we are grateful for the overwhelming response we’ve received during a very short fundraising period.
The Cultural Center will increase arts programs for the community in a larger space and amplify participation through its new location. It also will have a more visible presence from which to showcase the talents of local artists and unique attributes of the Central Wisconsin area.
The Center will continue to accept donations toward its relocation and remodeling projects to transform the space into classrooms, art gallery, music rooms, gift shop, and art garden.
Founded in 1996, Central Wisconsin Cultural Center’s mission is to advocate, recognize, and foster creative experiences through classes, exhibits, music, and social gatherings as a vital element of individual and community wellbeing.
