Rapids girls basketball falls at Appleton East

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School girls basketball team lost a nonconference game at Appleton East Nov. 26.

The Red Raiders (1-1) trailed 30-11 at halftime, and were outscored 31-18 in the second half to lose 61-29 to Appleton East (4-0).

Junior forward Alli Martin and sophomore guard Megan Clary each scored 10 points to lead Lincoln, while sophomore guard Emily LaChapell finished with 21 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for Appleton East.

The Red Raiders are scheduled to play a nonconference game at La Crosse Central on Dec. 3 at 7:15 p.m. before they open the Wisconsin Valley Conference season at home against Wausau West Dec. 10 at 7:15 p.m.
