FRIENDSHIP – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation announced that the human remains found on Nov. 23 in rural Adams County were that of Annastasia N. Evans, 24, of Dane County.

Evans

In August, Dane County Sheriff’s Department asked the public’s help in locating the 24-year-old who might have been in Adams County at the time.

Officers said that Evans was seen with a 25-year-old man in Wisconsin Dells

A hunter came across the remains in a wooded area in Adams County that were later identified as Evans.

This is an ongoing investigation. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, and DCI are assisted by the Adams County Medical Examiner, Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory, and Wisconsin State Patrol.

No further information is currently available.
